Overview
Under the direction of the Vice President for Finance, the finance department provides accounting, budgeting, and procurement services to support the mission of The New York Public Library.
The Accounts Payable Page provides operational support to the Accounts Payable
department. Various duties will include filing, copying, sorting mail, assisting with invoice processing. Performs related duties and special projects as needed. Our Library Pages are able to apply what they've learned in school while continuing to gain essential work experience with a team of fun and knowledgeable colleagues and leaders. Joining NYPL as a Library Page is a great opportunity to learn about the inner-workings of one of the busiest libraries in the country and is the stepping stone to a great career.
You will also have access to the Library Page Fellowship Program as a Library Page. A career growth development program that empowers youth as they shape their careers. The Program provides resources to help develop career readiness skills, explore career goals, and provide on-the-job coaching, training, and mentorship.
This position will be scheduled for up to 21 hours per week during Library hours. We work with candidates to schedule work time around your school schedule; Saturday hours and evenings may be required

- Projects a positive and courteous attitude to the public by providing exceptional customer service
- Files materials in order alphabetically and numerically
- Answers inquiries
- Assists staff with copying, filing, and ordering of office supplies
- Helps set up public spaces for events and programs
- Performs other related tasks as needed
Required Education, Experience & Skills
Required Education and Certifications
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in accounting, finance, or economics at an accredited school
- Proper employment certificate for minors under 18 as required by NYS law
