Junior Packaging Designer

High Point Design is a one-stop destination for all hosiery products, including socks, tights, slippers, legwarmers, and much more. The company holds some of the most recognizable entertainment and character licenses in the world.

We’re always growing and looking for experienced design talent!

Responsibilities:

• Researching, organizing, presenting, and translating trend, graphics, and color inspiration.
• Designing basic (hangtags, header cards, etc.) and special packaging (advent boxes, keepsakes, etc.) for many licensed character brands (including Hello Kitty, Disney, Nickelodeon, Peanuts, Universal Studios, Hasbro, Mattel, Warner Bros., Nintendo, Sega, Coca Cola, and more).
• Shopping for inspiration.
• Preparing design concept submissions for licensors.
• Preparing tech/development packets for the factories.
• Communicating with overseas factories and printers.
• Creating die-lines and packaging mock-ups.
• Keeping samples and computer files organized.
• Maintaining all records in PLM.

Requirements:

• Great attitude/team player/friendly/cooperative.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Organized.
• Hardworking.
• Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• MUST HAVE 2+ years of experience in designing special giftable packaging.
• Experience developing a product line with overseas factories.
