We specialize in conducting at-home interviews about people's life stories to create cherished family heirlooms. We seek a talented junior or mid-level videographer/interviewer with flexible hours to join our freelance team. This role involves filming and conducting interviews focusing on high-quality portrait lighting and steady shots. Interviews are pre-scheduled and typically last between 2-4 hours, often taking place early in the morning, including weekends.

Location:

• San Francisco Bay Area
• With flexibility to work in and around SF within driving distance.

How it works:

1. We schedule an interview date with a 50% downpayment.
2. We train you on our specific interview technique and inform our expectations of the finished product.
3. You travel to the location on the scheduled day, conduct the interview, and deliver the files.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performing and filming interviews in 4K resolution for durations of 2 to 4 hours.
2. Quick setup and maintenance of high-quality portrait lighting for steady shots.
3. Ensuring all equipment is properly set up and functioning before each session.

Key Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a videographer, particularly with portrait lighting and steady shots.
2. Proficient with 4K cameras and related filming equipment.
3. Must own (or be able to rent) a camera capable of filming in 4K for over 2 hours.
4. Ability to film continuously for long durations (over 1.5 hours).
5. Strong attention to detail and an eye for capturing high-quality footage.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication.

Additional Considerations:

1. Professional appearance and excellent manners are crucial. We will provide guidance on suitable attire, but candidates must also demonstrate politeness and good etiquette.
2. We prioritize videographers who own equipment.
