Job Description :

This position is responsible for supporting a large complex Payroll production environment with supporting benefits, tax, and time interfaces in a SAP SuccessFactors EC and ECP environment. This position requires an onsite presence a minimum of three days a week at 1515 Broadway NY and will also provide day-to-day support of payroll run cycle for 20 payroll areas.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  1. Provide end-to-end production support for a complex union-based daily payroll lifecycle environment comprising of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, and hours to gross Time Management systems with 100 interfaces.
  2. Review periodic SAP notes / patches / HRSP, evaluate and apply to SAP SuccessFactors landscape.
  3. Evaluate TUBs as delivered by BSI and coordinate production deployment.
  4. Configure, customize, and implement new Payroll modules / functionality as required.
  5. Produce solution design documentation and ensure successful delivery of Employee Central Payroll with expert attention to all architectural qualities for an effectively working SuccessFactors Human Resource (HCM) system.
  6. Plan, manage, deliver, implement, support, administer, and/or monitor SAP integration solutions and middleware for on-premise, cloud, or hybrid scenarios.
  7. Monitor batch jobs and address production support issues.
  8. Understand business requirements, develop detailed functional design, create test plans, and assist in production deployment.
  9. Coordinate activities of the team with other teams within the IT function.
  10. Implement the solution based on functional specifications and resolve issues independently in areas of expertise.
  11. Ensure technical objects are smoothly imported to UAT and eventually in Production by checking dependencies and sequence.
  12. Be part of the development team for production support, with a main focus on Payroll functional consultation.

Basic Qualifications :

  1. Minimum 8 years of experience working with payroll / HR departments that depend on a large complex SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll system.
  2. Extensive experience in configuring and custom development with excellent ECP functional skills.
  3. Deep knowledge of SAP EC payroll configurations, wage type setups, BSI tax setup including Tax Factory and Tax Profile Factory.
  4. Hands-on experience integrating multiple systems like ADP, Bank, SAP FI, 3PR, and PCC functionalities.
  5. Demonstrated ability to understand the Payroll & HR business areas, including related policies, procedures, and specific business practices.
  6. Experience working with HCM, FI, RICEF objects.
  7. Experience applying HRSP and BSI updates and patches to SuccessFactors ECP applications.
  8. Knowledge of the SuccessFactors HXM suite of applications, Payroll Command Center, and EC to ECP replication.
  9. Ability to write functional specifications, program, test, and manage the transition of modifications through the quality assurance and change control process.
  10. Experience working with GL integration with multiple ERP finance systems including ECC and Oracle EBS.
  11. Good knowledge about the Benefits Module, Time Management, Payroll Related Info types, Payroll status record, Payroll control record, and posting data to FI.
  12. Working knowledge in all SAP development tools and methodologies including ABAP workbench, BAPI / IDOC, ALE, Reports, Workflow, Smartforms, and ABAP upgrade enhancement techniques.
  13. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Additional Qualifications :

  1. Knowledge of union payroll is preferred.
  2. Proficiency in SAP security and basis admin functions.
  3. Demonstrated problem-solving skills as well as continuous process improvement skills.
  4. Strong understanding of the software development life cycle.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work independently to prioritize tasks effectively in a collaborative environment with shared resources.
  7. SAP certification is a big plus.
