KDD Marketing is looking for a Social Media Content Creator to develop, manage, and execute compelling social media content across various platforms. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our team and clients to plan and maintain content calendars, craft engaging copy, capture photos, edit video content, and analyze performance metrics to refine strategies.

We are a boutique full-service marketing & communications agency located in Uptown Kingston, NY. Our clients represent a wide range of industries, including health & wellness, nonprofits, education, real estate, and more.

This is a full-time position in our Kingston, New York office. This is NOT a remote job position. This is NOT a design job.

Social Media Content Creator

Job Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure social media efforts are integrated into the overall content strategy.
  • Social Media Content Creation: Develop engaging, relevant content, including posts, reels, stories, and ad copy
    • Writing: Writing post & ad content from scratch and/or editing client-supplied content
    • Photography: Taking photos which may require travel to our clients’ locations within the Hudson Valley and Albany areas.
    • Video: Editing client-supplied video for use in reels, stories, and ads
  • Editorial Calendar Management: Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote clients’ brands on all relevant platforms.
  • Engagement Monitoring: Track and manage audience engagement to foster community growth. Recommend other accounts to follow and engage with.
  • Platform Optimization: Audit social media accounts and make recommendations to optimize profiles and content to align with industry best practices.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor performance analytics and create detailed reports to assess the success of organic and paid content, identify high-performing content, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, social media algorithms, and new platform features to implement into ongoing strategies.
  • Influencer Collaborations: Identify and work with influencers where applicable, helping to plan and execute influencer campaigns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a communications, social media, or marketing role
  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Experience with all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile)
  • Hands-on experience with social media management platforms (i.e. Loomly, Hootsuite, or other similar platform)
  • Ability to balance multiple projects on a daily basis and be accountable to deadlines while working both independently and on a team.
  • Knowledge of marketing & communications ethics and current best practices, including the use of inclusive language.
  • A desire to participate in a collaborative environment and contribute to the shared success of our team.
  • Comfortable sharing ideas and suggestions while welcoming constructive feedback from others as an opportunity for growth and collaboration.
  • Proactive individual who is eager to learn about new clients, industries, and social media marketing trends and is ready to dive into researching these topics
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented, accountable & a quick learner
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office
  • Experience editing videos for social media
  • Macintosh Proficient (our office is 100% Mac)
  • Experience using Asana, DropBox, Slack, Loomly (or Hootsuite) a plus, but not required
  • Must love dogs!

Hours & Location: This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position in our Kingston office.

Salary Range: $43,000 – $48,000
