Our full-service Advertising Agency client is seeking a Video Editor to join their creative team for a part time, fully remote opportunity. The Video Editor will be part of a collaborative production team and will play a vital role in the success of the impactful work for their brands. This role will serve as the backbone of the video editorial team and will require prior experience in a fast-paced video post-production environment. The Video Editor will edit videos from rough-cut to final export/output as well as edits sequences with video footage, graphics, audio, and music elements. Additionally, the Video Editor will conduct project reviews with team members and is responsible for successful final output of deliverables. This position is a remote, part time (roughly 10-20 hours weekly) opportunity, that operates on Eastern Standard Time zone.
Responsibilities:
- Provide editing support, such as: setting up projects, transcoding, assembling sequences, assistance with versioning, packaging final deliverables.
- Oversee media management, including file/server organization, logging footage, managing department video assets, hot/cold storage management.
- Conduct quality control (QC) checks on final deliverables to ensure they meet company standards and client requirements.
- Package files and handle final delivery.
- Collaborate with account teams to assess project, vision, expectation, and needs.
- Review shooting scripts and raw materials to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of video editing experience in an ad agency, post-production house and/or production company.
- 4+ years of post-production experience including skills in sound editing, motion graphics, and color corrections.
- Experience stemming from a fast-paced video post-production environment / agency setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards while working under tight deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work Eastern Standard Time zone hours.
