Job Summary

The P&C Medical Librarian is responsible for providing professional-level health science librarian services across the Novant Health system. This role includes: expert searching, management of online and print resources, interlibrary loan, cataloging, as well as providing insightful input into library services’ policies, procedures, goals, and annual budget.

Job Relationships: Reports to and receives assignments from the Manager of Library Services.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's Degree in Library Science Required.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in a library setting, in a professional capacity, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Membership in the MLA Academy of Health Information Professionals, preferred.

    • Customer Service: Holds staff accountable for customer service standards and ensures service recovery when needed. Ensures staff responds to customers in a timely manner.

    • Digital Fluency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
