Join Our Team as an Instructional Multimedia Coordinator at Mays Business School!

Are you a creative visionary with a passion for multimedia design? We are seeking an enthusiastic Instructional Multimedia Coordinator to bring academic programs to life through engaging multimedia materials. In this role, you’ll collaborate with faculty and instructional designers to plan, manage, and develop multimedia assets that align with the dynamic goals and needs of our academic units.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of related experience in studio and/or live video production, including some related supervisory experience

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of video codex and compression
  • Strong understanding of video production principles, including lighting, sound, and composition
  • Experience using online streaming platforms (e.g., YouTube, Mediasite, Vimeo, etc.)
  • Ability to create content that drives engagement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience operating camera and studio equipment
  • Experience in pre-production, production, and post-production of multimedia assets for higher education course content
  • Familiarity with course design principles and practices
  • Experience working with instructional designers and instructors

Responsibilities

  • Multimedia Post-Production: Edit and assemble final visual/audio materials, ensuring consistency and technical quality. Support multimedia captioning for accessibility and integrate graphics, photographs, and custom illustrations into course materials. Meet post-production goals and deadlines.
  • Multimedia Pre-Production: Collaborate with instructional designers and instructors to plan multimedia curriculum content. Design and develop multimedia materials for web-based and face-to-face courses and create versatile templates. Meet pre-production goals and deadlines.
  • Multimedia Production: Assist with camera operation, set and lighting design, and audio production. Provide technical input on lighting, shooting angles, and microphone placement. Meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Leadership and Project Management: Balance creative requirements with schedules, budgets, and resources. Manage work assignments using project management tools and collaborate on the design and review of course materials.
  • Student Operations: Stay updated on design trends and technology in learning. Identify process improvements and troubleshoot technical issues with multimedia equipment and facilities.
