Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Newport News, VA. This is a full-time, school-based position for the current academic year. The OT will work with students to support their development, enhance their ability to participate in school activities, and promote independence in their learning environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized therapy plans.

  • Provide direct therapy services to students with various disabilities and needs.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for students.

  • Implement evidence-based interventions to improve students' motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Valid Virginia OT license (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.
