Your role at Baxter
Our team is evolving and seeking a highly collaborative UX Designer to join our efforts to create a team-oriented design studio. This role will focus on creating conceptual flows, wireframes and design hand-offs.
What you'll be doing
- Work with Senior Designers to execute design completion from concept to final hand-off for software development.
- Translating system requirements, software requirements and use cases to mockups, wireframes, and visuals using input from Engineering, Clinical, Marketing, Regulatory, Human Factors.
- Generate iterations of the design that are evaluated by senior designers, cross-functional teams and decisions documented for software implementation into the product.
- Design user experiences for software applications through the creation of interaction flows, design patterns and medium to high fidelity prototypes.
- Produce and maintain pixel perfect graphics, graphical components and graphics asset libraries.
- Author UI Design Description and/or Graphic Specification documents.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and a variety of design tools for designing, prototyping, and wireframing (including Figma/Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Balsamiq, InVision, and others).
- Ensure appropriate traceability requirements, designs, graphic specifications and mockups / wireframes / visuals.
- Ensure compliance to the product development process and Quality System and Design Control requirements.
- Collaborate with other cross functional teams within the organization.
What you'll bring
- B. S. (MS preferred) or any other equivalent degree
- 4+ years of UI/UX experience.
- Provide a portfolio of past relevant work.
- Prior experience in Medication Delivery device domain, UI/UX experience with Infusion Pumps/monitoring device is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to apply UI/UX concepts and design thinking in enhancing medical products and patient safety.
- Strong team player, able to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient at time management and multitasking.
- Resolve competing constraints between interrelated functions (Engineering, Risk Management, Compliance, Clinical, Human Factors, Regulatory, Marketing, Service).
