Position Title: Engineer, Product UI Email
Location: Dania Beach, FL (hybrid on site)
Job Type: Contract to hire (6 months)

Position Summary:
The Engineer, Product UI Email is responsible for developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving user interfaces across products, with a specialized focus on email-related UI work. As the primary contact for all email-related UI initiatives, this role ensures seamless integration of email components with broader product features, adhering to brand guidelines and optimizing user experiences. The position requires strong collaboration with internal teams, as well as external business partners and IT stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and deploy responsive and accessible email templates using HTML/CSS.
  • Manage and execute email campaigns using marketing platforms like Braze, Responsys, and Dynamic Yield (or similar tools).
  • Collaborate with designers and marketers to ensure email templates align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Conduct A/B tests and analyze performance to improve engagement rates, including open, click-through, and conversion rates.
  • Troubleshoot rendering issues across email clients and devices to ensure high-quality display across platforms (e.g., Outlook, Gmail, mobile).
  • Implement personalization and dynamic content using platform capabilities.
  • Manage email segmentation and targeting to maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Foster a work environment focused on engineering excellence to encourage technical innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience with demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through four (4) years of combined experience and education.
  • Three (3) years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS, specifically for email development (experience with Litmus, Email on Acid, or similar tools is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of software engineering environments and standards.
  • Availability for overnight travel (10%).
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Responsys, Braze, or Dynamic Yield.
  • Skilled in JavaScript and React for UI/front-end development.
  • Familiarity with data-driven marketing and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Five (5) years of experience in technology roles.
  • Experience writing software in one or more languages such as Java, Python, Go, and/or JavaScript.
  • Experience in architecting and developing production-grade solutions in virtualized environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
