Lead Front-End React Engineer - Lead UI Developer - (Contractor)

Work for a highly desired, well-known global investment banking corporate office in downtown Chicago. This is a hybrid position and will require 3 days/week on-site, within walking distance from Union Station.

Lead Front-End React Engineer - Lead UI Developer:

***Must have experience in a Senior level position and leading a team.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Developing new greenfield and brownfield products using ReactJS.
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Responsible for efficiently working with other teams in the organization to help them leverage the micro-FE framework/components library in their quest to modernize their applications.
• Facilitate code reviews.

Key Requirements:

• Experience with Redux or other state management libraries.
• Skilled in data visualization (e.g., D3, Chart.js, Highcharts).
• Proven ability to design and implement UI/UX solutions.
• Familiar with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest, Enzyme).
• Experience working with SQL and databases (relational, document).
• Knowledge of web application security (e.g., OWASP, Content Security Policy).
• Proficient with Webpack or similar module bundlers.
• Leadership experience in managing teams and guiding technical direction.
• Familiar with agile methodologies (Jira, ADO, Bitbucket, GitHub).
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design.
