Virtual Enterprises is a national non-profit organization that partners with middle and high schools to enable students to ideate, create and operate simulated businesses. As VE embarks on a strategic plan focused on expanding our reach and presence nationally, the Marketing Coordinator will support enhancing our digital outreach and our PR efforts. The Marketing Coordinator will be part of a small marketing team on the larger Development and Engagement team.
What you’ll do:
Digital Marketing: (50% of your time) You will oversee website updates, digital ad campaigns, and support the entire VE team in the execution of year-round email communication, all with the goal of expanding VE’s network of contacts.
You will partner with the development team to integrate donation campaigns and forms and explore data analytics to help improve tactics year over year.
You will work closely with our Marketing Manager to ensure execution of a year-round communication calendar, ensuring the entire organization is aware of what communication is going out on a monthly basis, and seek opportunities to tie that content to social media, blog posts, and other communications channels.
You’ll partner with VE’s intern(s) to lead social media implementation across all platforms.
You will build a working knowledge of our CRM and eCRM (Currently: Salesforce and Classy) in an effort to: Continuously hone our email marketing lists and segments
Provide insight into contact profiles
Public Relations: (30% of your time) You will lead the development of basic press kit materials nationally to promote key events, and build a database of prospective local and national press contacts.
You will serve as lead contact with photographers and videographers across all events, ensuring proper content is received and promoted appropriately.
Events: (10% of your time) You will serve as key support for signature events, Youth Business Summit and Annual Gala, as well as support local events as needed.
Administrative Support: (10% of your time) You’ll serve as a key support for the leadership team on external strategies related to conference attendance, presentations, and pre-event promotion.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong writing skills
1+ years work experience centered around PR and/or Marketing
Familiarity with Wordpress, Google Suite, Canva and/or Constant Contact a plus
