The Paid Media Director for Lays and Future Portfolio is responsible for leading paid media strategy, planning, and investment for our biggest brands and portfolios including Lays, Quaker, and Positive Choice brands. Key responsibilities include annual comms strategy planning, paid connection planning, tactical media planning, performance learnings, and supporting brand AOP & BGS. The role also involves managing paid media approached for our key sports partnerships including FIFA and NFL. Additionally, the director is accountable for performance measurement, interfacing with publishers and media vendors, coaching and developing teams, and building media capability. Required qualifications include 12 years of marketing and advertising experience, a passion for media and data-driven marketing, and strong analytical, creative, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, planning, and investment for our biggest brand Lays as well as oversee strategy and planning for 2 portfolios including Meal Occasions (Quaker Masterbrand) and Positive Choice (Popcorners, Sun Chips, Simply).
  • Craft and implement data-driven paid media strategies that drive positive growth. Key deliverables include: Annual Comms Strat Planning, Total Paid Connection Planning, Tactical Media Planning & Execution, Performance learnings & implications, AOP & BGS Support.
  • Lead strategy and planning across the portfolio for our biggest sports partnerships.
  • Team Leadership.
  • Inspire and guide teams to plan & execute data-driven, high-impact campaigns effectively.
  • Prioritize projects and workstreams to provide focus and clarity.
  • Partnership Ownership: Heavy interface and representative of PFUS and brands with publishers, media vendors, and media agency.
  • Support in building Pepsico Foods media capability across the department through sharing learnings, case studies, and building specific training materials.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $125,900 - $249,900.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out annually and an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period.
  • Long-term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

Extensive Expertise:

  • 12+ years of experience in marketing and advertising with direct experience with developing large scale media strategy, planning, and investment execution.
  • Team & people management experience.
  • Must be passionate about media and data-driven marketing with a desire to educate and build capability in others.

Demonstrated Success:

  • Ability to align media strategies with business objectives and engaging key stakeholders.
  • Must have proven track record in managing multiple cross-functional teams and agencies to deliver objectives.
  • Ability to analyze relevant data, insights, and information to identify opportunities and develop strategy and plans to address.

Skill Proficiency:

  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, project management, and prioritization skills.
  • Able to manage short-term goals with long-term priorities for the business.
