We are hiring for a Temporary Courtroom Reporter to join us for trial in Los Angeles, CA. The rial is expected to last 7-10 days starting THIS WEEK - MARCH 3RD. No legal experienced is required, but strong observational skills and a laptop to document proceedings is required.
Responsibilities:
Attend court sessions each morning starting at 8:30am. Observe and document the status and progression of the trial, focusing on the overall proceedings rather than the judge’s behavior. Maintain discretion and respect for privacy and confidentiality. Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of the trial proceedings. Stay attentive and focused throughout the trial. Provide written status updates on the trial and morning proceedings Requirements: Strong observational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to document proceedings accurately. Understanding of courtroom etiquette and proceedings. Discretion and respect for privacy and confidentiality. Tech-savvy with the ability to type quickly and efficiently. Good note-taking skills.
This is a temporary position paying $20/hr. Ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, and professional. They will need to be available for 7-10 days between 8:00am-4:30pm PST. Interviews will be held on Microsoft Teams and will require an updated resume and at least 1 reference from a previous or current manager or supervisor.
