Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Service Designer to join a consumer facing design team. This team will be working to support a greater design team but will focus on design architecture, taxonomies, and the relationship of consumer products. The goal of the role is to help deliver a playbook so that the design execution partners can more easily deliver on end to end UX/UI design with a strong customer centricity approach. We are seeking a candidate with a background in service design, who is process oriented, and enjoys digging into a scope of work and details of requirements so you can create strategy, visuals, design mapping and detailed hierarchy. This candidate will be working with a Principal Designer supporting stakeholder relationships across multiple business units and teams to gather insights and then synthesize design finding with design recommendations for product groups. Candidates will be designing system blueprints, hierarchal maps and journey maps, building and owning taxonomies and information architecture, as well as building decks to showcase the capabilities they uncovered. Being able to understand a customer centric approach and how consumers use the companies digital products is super helpful for the role. Another focus area of the role will be creating artifacts such as quick prototypes and wireframes that tell the story of the discovery you have done. Candidates should have a good business sense to be able to work with stakeholders and manage those relationships as well as ask intuitive questions that help build on their capabilities and design execution. This environment has multiple digital touchpoints, so candidates should be comfortable navigating large ecosystems and presenting in workshops. This role will require innovative thinking, next generational design thought and will not be design for development work.
