The Truss Designer will be responsible for creating complete and accurate Truss Placement Plans and Truss Design Drawings for custom commercial and residential building projects. As the Truss Designer, you will also work closely with other Truss Designers, as well as, communicating and discussing changes or design issues with architects, engineers, and clients in the construction industry.  Job Type:  Full Time, On-site
Exercise complete attention to detail to create complete and accurate Truss Placement Plans and Truss Design Drawings ( TDD ).
Design roof trusses, floor trusses, and pre-engineered wood products with design software, CAD, and other supporting component design software.
Follow Building Codes to ensure the safety of the design while meeting industry standards.
Utilize advanced math skills for calculating lengths, weights, angles, and technical knowledge of CAD software and other related computer programs.
Communicate with clients during the design process.
Involved in repair designing, coordination of field issues, communicates with Construction Managers/Superintendents.
Research industry documents on products, building codes, and construction techniques for design solutions and continual learning. 
Minimum 3-5 years  of  Truss Design  and  Draft  experience in the Construction and Building Materials industries.
Highly proficient in  MiTek  software
Industry knowledge and experience in  Construction  and  Building Materials
