Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to review, revise, and update policies and procedures. This role involves translating complex operational and safety information into clear, actionable documents that ensure consistency and clarity. The ideal candidate has a strong background in technical writing and the ability to structure policies in an organized and professional manner.

Schedule: This is an open assignment, with workload varying from week to week. If the collaboration proves successful, workload may increase over time, but gaps in work are expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, revise, and update company policies and procedures to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Translate complex operational and safety information into clear and actionable documentation.
• Focus primarily on text-based content with occasional incorporation of graphs and charts.
• Organize and manage policies in Microsoft Word, ensuring consistency in formatting and structure.
• Ensure all policies are well-organized, consistent, and easy to understand.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather necessary information for policy updates.
• Maintain version control and document updates effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in technical writing.
• Strong writing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word for document organization and formatting.
• Ability to interpret and simplify complex operational and safety concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure consistency across all documents.
• Experience working with policies, procedures, and regulatory documentation preferred.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
