FPU seeks an Associate Director of Marketing & Communications (MarCom), who reports to the Vice President for MarCom and supports the full department. The position plays an important role in helping to drive enrollment and fundraising campaigns for the University. Projects include but are not limited to print, web, social media, video, photography and editorial production; helping to strengthen University messaging and branding by carrying out communications strategies that follow guidelines for visual image and editorial voice; collaboration with all areas of the University; ensuring clear, consistent, and engaging content in all media.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as communication, marketing, public relations, creative or visual arts, or related. Experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduate degree also desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate across platforms. Exceptional organizational ability and experience working in a fast-paced communication environment. Knowledge of strategic communications and marketing concepts. High-level mastery of various software, including Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.). Ability to handle highly confidential material and perform a wide range of duties that discretion, good judgment, independence, and diplomacy. Knowledge and experience with industry-specific design and publishing software as well as social media and editing software are preferred.
