To support your role effectively, we provide a company-issued laptop, equipped with the necessary software, security features, and internal support. This does not apply to Independent Contractors (1099), part-time, seasonal, or unpaid individuals.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Content Manager to oversee the creation and editing of communication materials. This position will assist with content strategy and execution for newsletters, school communications, and other platforms to effectively engage stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional writing expertise and a proven ability to deliver impactful, audience-focused communications.

- Lead the creation and review of content for newsletters, school announcements, web copy, and other communications as directed by the Director of Strategic Communication and Design.
- Analyze engagement metrics to refine content strategies and improve audience impact.
- Ensure all messaging aligns with the organization's brand, tone, and strategic priorities.
- Editorial Leadership

- Manage and maintain editorial guidelines, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to AP style and organizational standards.
- Oversee the editorial calendar, coordinating with internal teams to align content delivery with organizational initiatives.
- Provide coaching and editorial support to team members and contributors.
- Leadership and Collaboration

- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing feedback and fostering professional growth.
- Work closely with leadership to identify storytelling opportunities that align with organizational priorities.
- Monitor communication trends to proactively address emerging issues and opportunities.
- 5+ years of experience in content creation, editing, and strategy, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a mastery of AP style.
- Experience in K-12 education.
- Familiarity with visual content creation and graphic design processes.
- Knowledge of change management or crisis communication strategies.
- Proven ability to develop and execute communication strategies that drive engagement.
- Proficiency with content management tools (e.g., SchoolStatus, Salesforce) and familiarity with digital marketing practices, including SEO and analytics.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
- A bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is required; substantial experience may substitute for educational requirements.
