The Opportunity
We’re looking for a talented Content & Instructional Designer to join our product team and transform the Good Inside approach into engaging, effective learning experiences that not only teach parents what they need to know for every parenting challenge, and also inspire them. This is an exciting opportunity to impact the lives of parents and children by creating a curriculum and content that validates struggles, fosters community, and teaches practical strategies for parenting. You’ll be an instrumental member of the product team that will drive member engagement and retention. This role reports to the Head of Product and is a hybrid role with three days a week onsite at our office in Midtown Manhattan. Curriculum Development:
Develop new content based on the Good Inside approach and convert existing book content and workshop materials into an engaging curriculum. Learning Strategy:
Partner with the product team to productize and implement effective learning strategies that are both easily digestible for parents and help parents feel better about their parenting. Storytelling:
Make learning more engaging and inspiring by infusing storytelling into content. Data Analysis:
Utilize data analytics to assess content performance and inform decision-making for curriculum improvements. A/B Testing:
Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests to optimize content effectiveness and user engagement. Content Roadmap:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive content roadmap, ensuring a steady stream of valuable resources for parents. Copywriting:
Create compelling, clear, and concise copy for various learning materials and collaborate with other copywriters to maintain consistency in tone and messaging. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the product team to integrate learning content seamlessly into the app experience. Your Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in content and/or learning design in digital or mobile learning environments; bonus if you’ve worked with audio or video content. Proven track record of creating engaging, effective learning experiences for adult learners. Strong understanding of learning theories and their practical application in digital platforms. Experience with data analysis and A/B testing methodologies in content optimization. Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences. Proficiency in learning management systems and content creation tools. Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development processes. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives. Owns challenges and drives solutions with confidence. Communicates directly and effectively and pursues the truth, even in difficult moments. Is motivated and driven by ambitious goals. Adapts quickly, taking on various responsibilities with enthusiasm. Embraces periods of intensity and knows when to shift gears. Is career-driven and aspires to grow. Is passionate about Good Inside's mission and eager to make a real impact. What We Offer
Competitive Compensation: base salary for this role will be
$140,000-$150,000
