The Specialist, Direct Marketing is responsible for managing vendor partnerships to facilitate efficient donation processing, data management, and mail handling, ensuring alignment with USPS updates. This position will direct the review and approval process for 75 campaigns including direct mail, email, and digital for the Direct Marketing Program that delivers $14 million in annual revenue. This is a key role on the team to ensure continuous process improvement across operations and timely execution of revenue generating campaigns for the Society.
This Specialist, Direct Marketing role can be held remotely in the US.
Essential Function/Responsibilities Vendor Management Manage the vendor relationship that oversees all gift processing, acknowledgements, call center, data management and data storage. Work with vendor to optimize business processes and protocols for data sharing and communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate solutioning when issues or concerns arise and communicate updates effectively and in a timely manner to Society leadership Monitor Society's PO Boxes and mail volume to ensure timely processing of donations. Establish relationship with primary contact at USPS to stay up to date on updates and changes within mail processing.
Management of the Campaign Review Processes Manage the routing of all 75+ campaigns and their respective creative assets through Society internal stakeholders including Direct Marketing, Legal, Brand, Digital Experience, and other teams as necessary for final approval. Consolidate feedback and provide concise creative direction to agency partner. Review final creative insertion samples, email proofs, and direct mail seeds for quality control Execution of campaign creation requests from agency partner related to donation forms Maintain repository of campaign assets in conjunction with external partner for internal stakeholders.
Manage Expense Processing Submit direct marketing team's invoices through Society's systems and workflows. Maintain documentation on pending, received, and paid invoices and manage any necessary reconciliations. Manage requests or questions with Society's Finance team related to expenses and invoices.
Business Process Oversight Establish and maintain campaign timelines and workflows in Society's systems for internal and agency partners to ensure efficient execution and delivery on deadlines. Manage dedicated email inbox with requests from internal and external stakeholders Communicate donation processing updates and donation protocol changes to internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate tracking of performance metrics across internal and external stakeholders.
Role Qualifications 2-3 years of experience coordinating agency work and vendor partners. 2-3 years of experience in direct marketing preferred. Strong attention to detail and diligent record keeping. Initiative-taking and highly organized with ability to manage projects simultaneously.
Technical Competencies 2-3 years of experience accessing customer databases. 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing KPIs and reporting. Proficient skill set with Excel and PowerPoint. Understanding of data flows across platforms.
Compensation & Benefits Info:
Estimated hiring compensation range for this role is
$36,000 - $43,000
based on our average compensation schedule. Final offers will be based on candidategeographic location and consider career experience and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.
