About the role
We are seeking a Senior Marketing Events Manager to execute key programs within Anthropic's events strategy. Reporting to the Head of Events, you will manage and deliver compelling events that advance our mission of ensuring safe and beneficial AI development. You'll work closely with our marketing, communications, and technical teams to create meaningful experiences that engage our community and showcase our work in AI safety and development.Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end execution of assigned events programs, from planning through on-site management and post-event analysisPlan and manage multiple concurrent events of varying scales, from intimate roundtables to large conferences, as part of the broader marketing strategyPartner with the Head of Events to ensure programs align with overall events strategy and goalsCreate compelling event content and programming that effectively communicates complex technical concepts to diverse audiencesDevelop and maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and partners to ensure seamless event executionManage event budgets and track ROI metrics to optimize program effectivenessCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align events with broader marketing and company objectivesDesign and implement processes to scale our events program efficientlyEnsure events reflect and reinforce Anthropic's commitment to responsible AI developmentYou may be a good fit if you:
Have 7+ years of experience in event marketing and management in a B2B setting, with a track record of successfully executing technical or innovation-focused eventsDemonstrate exceptional project management skills and attention to detailExcel at creating compelling event narratives and content programsHave experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and cross-functional collaborationAre skilled at budget management and vendor negotiationsCan operate in a fast-paced environment and maintain calm and effective leadership in high-pressure situationsHave strong data analysis skills to measure and report on event success metricsAre passionate about AI development and its implications for society
