What you’ll be doing The Sr Manager, Security Product User Experience Designer is responsible for designing and improving integration, user, demo experience of our products. This role will define how internal and external customers interface with our services to ensure an optimal experience while allowing for customer self-help features and or existing features to be better utilized. This role will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create user-centric products that are intuitive and delightful to use. They will report into the Assoc VP of Product Management - Security Products & Solutions. The candidate will be expected to: Build vision, strategy, and roadmap for the user experience for Verizon Business Group’s security suite of services with an end goal of creating a scalable and sustainable business line and meeting Verizon’s strategic objectives. Work closely with engineering, operations, product managers, and customers to ensure that products meet the right balance of meeting customer and market needs while creating an experience that maximizes return on investments. Collaborate with product managers and other designers to create a cohesive product experience across all digital front door portals. Facilitate productive cross-portfolio and cross-functional relationships via effective and consistent communications across a global workforce and customer base (e.g. low fidelity mockups, clickable prototypes, wireframes, personas, user stories, storyboards, etc). Leverage product and market knowledge to assist cross-functional groups including Product Marketing and Sales personnel. Evangelize the User Experience throughout the organization, including innovation center demos and events. Conduct user research to understand user needs and pain points with integration or user interfaces. Design and prototype integration and user interfaces, iterating on design, and testing. Stay up-to-date on the latest UX trends and best practices. What we’re looking for You'll need to have: Bachelor’s Degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training. Proven examples of designing interfaces both simple and complex for a wide variety of customer types. Experience leading design within a project and interfacing directly with clients. Exceptional wireframe and storyboarding experience. Natural ability to relate to customers and prospects and communicate their needs internally. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Self-starter with strong communication, listening, and conceptual skills. Strong technical skills with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Visual Design experience. Experience with APIs and low-code platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, ServiceNow. Security Clearance or ability to obtain one. Where you’ll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $128,000.00 and $238,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
