ARTIST LIAISON

Position Status: Regular, Full Time
Position Location: 20% Remote / 80% Onsite
Salary Range: $62,000 - $66,000
Reports to: Associate Director of Artistic Administration & Planning
POSITION SUMMARY
The ARTIST LIAISON is a member of the Artistic Department responsible for all administrative and logistical matters involving guest artists and volunteers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Arrange or assist with hospitality needs for guest artists including housing resources and arrangements and travel.
- Manage all required steps for International Artist visas, from application through approval.
- Coordinate recruitment and audition processes for dancers, supernumerary volunteers, actors, youth chorus, and child principals.
- Recruit and supervise volunteers supporting the Artistic Department.
- Update Seattle Opera’s webpage for housing and lodging resources.
- Provide budget information as requested.
ARTIST SUPPORT DURING PRODUCTION PERIODS
- Provide artists resources for any special needs such as doctors, medical offices, gyms, massage, etc.
- Serve as main point of contact for dancers, supernumerary volunteers, actors, youth chorus, and child principals.
- Coordinate ticketing requests and dress rehearsal passes for guest artists.
- Create and update backstage security lists.
- Coordinate dressing room assignments with Production Departments.
- Attend tech week and dress rehearsals as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, music preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Related experience: At least 3 years of experience in artist hospitality preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: A WA State Driver’s license and personal vehicle are strongly recommended.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competency with databases and accounting software is preferred.

Typical Work Schedule and Required Attendance:
This position typically works Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Must be accessible and able to respond to emergencies that may arise.
