Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 per year

Job Details: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Audio Systems Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Consumer Products industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be involved in the development and implementation of state-of-the-art audio systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain software for our advanced audio systems.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  3. Work with outside data sources and APIs.
  4. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  5. Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  6. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  7. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  8. Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve existing systems to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  9. Collaborate closely with the hardware team to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, specifically in the areas of C++, Python, I2C, I2S, and MQTT.
  3. Strong knowledge of audio systems and audio processing.
  4. Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
  5. Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
  6. Knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
  7. Strong documentation and writing skills.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and propose practical solutions.
  9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  10. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  11. A passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  12. Familiarity with the manufacturing industry is a plus.
