San Antonio Christian School is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and collaborative leader to serve as its Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Located on a beautiful 71-acre campus, SACS is a non-denominational covenant Christian school with small class sizes and quality academics, coupled with a wide range of art and athletic opportunities that provide students with a Christ-centered education while fostering a life of faith and service.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator (MCC) plays a critical role in executing SACS’s communication and marketing initiatives. This position has direct oversight in the creative process for marketing campaigns and content strategy development to create and implement comprehensive strategies that align with the school’s marketing goals and brand identity. This person is responsible for day-to-day communication tasks, including social media management, digital marketing, event promotion, and overseeing key publications such as the Fall and Spring newsletters and the Annual Report. The MCC ensures consistent messaging across all platforms and works closely with multiple departments to support the school’s marketing, enrollment, communication, and advancement goals. This hands-on, task-oriented role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and attention to detail. The MCC also provides on-site event support, capturing photos and videos for promotional use and managing event-related communication. This position is instrumental in implementing the school’s mission and philosophy in making key decisions regarding content creation, marketing strategies, and communication branding.

Job Duties Competencies/Responsibilities
Content Strategy Development and Social Media Management
  • Develop, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms, enhancing SACS’s online presence and community engagement.
  • Coordinate and manage email marketing campaigns, ensuring timely communication with key audiences.
  • Assist in creating promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, and digital assets, in collaboration with external design vendors.
  • Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy and alignment with marketing priorities.
Event Promotion and Coverage
  • Support communication efforts for major events, school-wide initiatives, and fundraising events.
  • Provide on-site support at events (including some evenings and weekends) to capture photos and videos for marketing use.
  • Assist in pre-event promotion and post-event content recaps across digital platforms.
Multimedia Production (Video, Photography, & Podcasts)
  • Create and coordinate video production, podcast episodes, and photography for communication projects, ensuring high-quality content and timely delivery.
  • Primary contact for vendors, including videographers and podcast producers as needed.
  • Capture and edit photos and videos at school events for social media, email campaigns, and the school’s website.
  • Produce, edit, and organize podcast content for distribution across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with SACS’s communication strategy.
Publications and Special Projects
  • Coordinate the production of the Annual Report, collaborating with multiple departments to ensure accuracy and alignment with institutional messaging.
  • Coordinate the development and distribution of the Fall and Spring newsletters, alumni newsletters, and other key publications.
  • Support capital campaign efforts in partnership with the Advancement team.
Collaboration and Cross-Departmental Support
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications and assist with community communication.
  • Work closely with the Director of Admissions and Marketing to implement marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with the Advancement team on capital campaign storytelling and donor communication.
  • Partner with Alumni Relations on alumni-focused content and engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent application of the school's brand guidelines across all marketing materials and communication channels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or communications.
  • Experience with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and website content management systems.
  • Photography and videography skills with an eye for visual storytelling are preferred.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity regarding sensitive employee information with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for event coverage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong technology skills with knowledge of standard software and programs.
  • Acknowledge Christ as Lord and Savior and be an active member of a local evangelical church that aligns with the school’s essential beliefs, Nicene Creed, and statement of faith.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and have reliable transportation.
