The Opportunity:

In support of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and under direction from the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO), your primary focus will be to provide expertise and ongoing support in technical writing, graphics development, and outreach activities to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences, including the public, with clarity, accuracy, and consistency.


Responsibilities:

  • Research, analyze, coordinate, and prepare for distribution of a variety of material/information that supports the mission, activities, and initiatives of the SpRCO.
  • Work with other organizational entities within SpRCO or with members of other Department of Defense (DoD) modal administrations, including but not limited to the Secretariat Department of Defense and Congressional Agencies, to support strategic messaging.
  • Serve as an expert and point of contact (POC) in product creation, editing, and configuration control of products being developed.
  • Serve as a technical authority in grammar, style, and formatting and participate in workflow management.
  • Plan, edit, design, and write content for a variety of internal communications media, such as official correspondence, briefings, and classified and unclassified reports.
  • Develop art and copy layouts for classified and unclassified material to be presented by electronic video teleconferences, and visual communications to include but be limited to media such as books, magazines, newspapers, Internet websites, television, and packaging.
  • Perform comprehensive editorial reviews and analyze work products to ensure that objective, style, and manner of presentation aligned with SpRCO’s overall goals and target audience.
  • Use Microsoft Office, Adobe Systems, and graphic design software and publishing tools to develop mission-driven artwork.
  • Formulate and implement a strategic communications strategy to plan content, graphic aspects, and presentations to deliver messaging that supports the mission of SpRCO and its goals.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for graphic design, product creation, and editing artwork.
  • Support the development and execution of internal and external communications plans and strategies.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum of ten years experience.
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience writing and editing technical reports and technical documentation using Microsoft Office word processing systems, desktop publishing presentation systems, spreadsheet systems, and Adobe Systems.
  • Experience creating and designing unique and mission-driven artwork and graphic design projects and strategic communications using Adobe Systems and Microsoft Suite products.

Desired:

  • Masters Degree in English or a similar discipline.
  • Prior experience working for SpRCO and/or the DoD.
  • Knowledge and experience with the DoD strategic communications systems.
  • Experience interacting with senior-level employees and preparing detailed, accurate reports and presentations for review by executive staff.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is: $74,200 - $163,300. CACI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
