This is a 12-month Librarian Track position at the Assistant Professor/Librarian II rank. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and management of our diverse library collections, playing a key role in supporting the university's academic mission.
What You'll Do:
- Provide leadership in all aspects of collection development for both print and digital resources.
- Contribute innovative ideas and make strategic decisions based on academic program needs.
- Investigate emerging trends in collection initiatives and incorporate them into the libraries’ framework.
- Recommend and order materials, using reviews and research to make informed decisions.
- Coordinate trials for new electronic resources in collaboration with other library staff.
- Work closely with the University Libraries Business Manager on budget management.
- Contribute to accreditation/program review and statistical reports.
- Serve as a contact for vendors and publishers, establishing and maintaining relationships.
- Coordinate the management of gift materials.
- Oversee the organization and weeding of the collection.
- Participate in campus and university committees.
