Job Summary
We are seeking a self-starter – someone who is ready to drive media strategy across eRetailers, marketplaces and retail media. The ever-changing eCommerce landscape is evolving at a pace that demands that you must possess adaptability, quick-thinking, and a thirst for rapid-fire learning. Night Market is at the forefront of defining what (and how) our clients need to succeed and innovate across all facets of online commerce, and this individual will be instrumental in supporting that mission.
The Manager, Commerce Media will report into the Associate Director, Commerce Media, and will have day-to-day client connects. This individual will work closely with cross-functional Horizon Media and Night Market teams and should be comfortable collaborating and communicating effectively while simultaneously delivering best-in-class work in media strategy and data analytics.
What You’ll Do
Digital Media Strategy – 80%
- Responsible for overall campaign strategy, planning, implementation, and post-campaign reviews for your set of retailers/brands.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the campaign's smooth implementation.
- Update the team and clients on new trends and changes in the media landscape (e.g. new media vendors, new ad formats, etc.).
- Work with key retail media partners.
- Brainstorm with internal performance team for ideation and timely execution of campaigns.
- Be the trusted advisor within the team and with clients for all things related to e-Commerce solutions from a media lens with ample assistance from senior management.
- Present strategy and implementation ideas to clients across different digital platforms.
- Set viable objectives and KPIs, and recommend/develop measurement methodology against all briefs.
- Ensure projects/campaigns are tracked and measured based on agreed KPIs and media efficiencies.
- Provide guidance to the team on planning, operations, and optimization of digital campaigns.
- Be a team player and work well with all members of the team to ensure all tasks are fulfilled.
- Guide and create media specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and other related functions.
- Lead brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development with the intention of bringing great ideas to life.
- Oversee and support Specialists and Assistant roles – have prior managerial skills and have overseen a team of at least 1-2+ people before.
Reporting & Analysis - 20%
- Monitor and report on media campaigns on an ongoing basis.
- Use learnings drawn from data to draw thoughtful, data-based conclusions that illustrate the ‘why’ behind performance, and maps back to digital strategy.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 3-4+ years relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Has previously constructed retail media digital media plans, with understanding of planning, buying and activation.
- Expert in developing strategic media recommendations and stewarding digital media account projects, acting as a client contact.
- Expert in eRetailer – MUST have experience working with Walmart and/or Target.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Salary Range
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00
A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
