Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Public Relations & Communications to lead our global communications strategy, enhance brand reputation, and drive impactful storytelling. This executive will oversee corporate communications, media relations, crisis management, and internal communications, ensuring a consistent and compelling narrative across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive PR and communications strategy that aligns with business objectives and enhances company reputation and positioning.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on reputation management, media engagement, and crisis response.
  • Lead the corporate messaging framework, ensuring consistency across all communications.
  • Manage and direct external PR agency on strategy, messaging, and execution.

Media & Public Relations

  • Cultivate strong relationships with business and trade media, industry analysts, influencers, and industry stakeholders to ensure strong visibility and credibility.
  • Oversee press releases, media briefings, and executive interviews, ensuring alignment with brand voice and key messages.
  • Prepare and support regular cadence of lender calls and corresponding communications.
  • Develop strategy and execute proactive positioning of executives as industry experts through speaking engagements, op-eds/white papers, and media commentary.
  • Proactively manage crisis communication strategies to mitigate risk and protect the company’s reputation.

Internal & Executive Communications

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies and programs that foster employee engagement and alignment with company values.
  • Partner with HR and leadership on change management communications to ensure clear, transparent messaging.
  • Support executive leadership with speechwriting, talking points, and thought leadership initiatives.

Brand & Corporate Reputation

  • Lead corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability communications to enhance corporate reputation.
  • Monitor public sentiment and industry trends, providing insights to inform communication strategies.
  • Oversee the development of content for corporate reports, investor communications, and employer branding initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. B2B experience highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in crisis communications, media relations, and reputation management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including speechwriting and storytelling.
  • Experience leading internal communications and employee engagement strategies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with executives, marketing, HR, legal, and operations teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (Masters preferred).
