The J Resort is a full-service hotel-casino with over 500 rooms and wide variety of Slots and Table Games. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI; Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Manage all social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Create and curate compelling content including text, image and video for social media posts
  • Collaborate with marketing, food and beverage, hotel and gaming teams to ensure awareness and alignment of message to brand
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages and foster a positive online community
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns and contests to drive user engagement and brand loyalty
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns and budgets to optimize ROI
  • Network and suggest Influencer relationships beneficial to our brands
  • Regular travel via car and/or plane to various locations throughout the country where the company does business
  • Leads property social media content collection, including producing, editing, and distribution across multiple platforms to grow audiences, awareness, and engagement
  • Generates content that builds meaningful connections between our brands and our guests
  • Collaborate with other departments and key players to produce and execute content
  • Create and execute public relations campaigns that will generate positive coverage for J Resort, J Resort’s Glow Plaza, J Resort’s Glow Plaza Festival Grounds, Reno Neon Line, and/or other JEI brands
  • Coordinate and lead familiarization visits from writers, editors, bloggers, and other media professionals
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming requests for photography, video and general resort information
  • Assist the Director of Marketing, General Manager, CEO, COO, and other leaders in formulating responses to media inquiries and addressing any emergencies
  • Travel to media outlets in target markets, as needed, to pitch story ideas and generate media coverage
  • Manage and grow an up-to-date list of travel media professionals, bloggers and other influential contacts
  • Manage the organization's official media kit, including both in-print and online
  • Maintain regular positive contact with members of the local media, tourism organizations, community leaders and other influential organizations
  • Assist the marketing department with copywriting, advertorial content and proofing
  • Assist with a variety of internal communication pieces as needed, including writing and editing of company newsletters, memos, and email announcements
  • Think quickly and communicate clearly in high-pressure and quick-changing situations
  • Stays up to date with social media best practices, trends, and algorithm changes
  • Executes research related to social media platform updates; identifies key findings and presents recommendations
  • Delivers work on or before deadline
  • Covers events and activations as needed
  • Must have a positive attitude and flexibility to work with several departments and personalities at all levels of the organization

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or Social Media Manager
  • Hands-On experience in content management
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Experience managing online communities and/or platforms for
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro) preferred
  • Familiarity with web design
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent in marketing or relevant field; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must obtain/possess Colorado Key Gaming License
  • Must obtain/possess Louisiana Gaming License
  • If required must obtain/possess Nevada Key Gaming License
  • Nevada Gaming License required
