How You Will Contribute
The Studio Monitor, Family Programs provides support for children’s programming at the museum through assisting with studio upkeep, supply management, and program execution.
Potential onsite programs could include: Art Kids Classes, Art Museum Playdate, Art Kids Studio, Lil’ Art Kids, Art Kids Tours, and Family Festivals as well as seasonal programs as needed. Potential virtual programs could include: Art Playdate at Home and Art Club at Home.

How You Will Contribute
The Studio Monitor, Family Programs provides support for children’s programming at the museum through assisting with studio upkeep, supply management, and program execution.

Specifically, you will:
- Manage studio schedules and maintain cleanliness of all Education Studios including setting up and breaking down the studio for children’s programming
- Order, organize, and oversee supplies for children’s studio programs
- Operate the kiln and firing schedule
- As part of the Family Programs team, contribute to brainstorming for Art Kids Studio, summer, and out of school programming
- With the Manager of Family Programs, support day-to-day administration of Children’s Art Classes including updating records such supply requests, gallery locations, and class rosters
- Help facilitate special holiday programming including Trick or Treat at the Art Museum, Turkey Hangover, Winter Break, and Spring Break
- Serve as point person for Saturday Children’s Art Classes and assist teachers as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned

Position and Compensation Details
- The hourly rate for this position is $20.97.
- This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and 35 hours per week.
- This position is part of the AFSCME Local 397 bargaining unit.
- This position reports to the Manager of Family Programs.
- Physical requirements:
- Able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, to utilize computers and other office equipment required of this job, to perform physically administrative duties in a typical interior office environment, gallery, or exhibit space, and to access most public and staff areas of the museum campus
- Background check required after a conditional job offer is made. Consideration of the background check will be tailored to the requirements of the job.
