Amazon is seeking a Tax Manager to provide business tax support for both new and ongoing launches and initiatives for the Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios businesses.

Prime Video is Amazon’s premium one-stop video service. We offer customers thousands of on-demand and for-purchase titles, from award-winning Amazon MGM Studios Originals like Fallout, Reacher, and The Rings of Power to third-party shows, movies, and channels to exciting live sports events like Thursday Night Football. Prime Video is a rapidly expanding and ever-growing business – available today in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

This position will be part of a team that works closely with business partners, finance, and members of the corporate tax department to evaluate and provide tax-efficient planning advice on business transactions, restructurings, and ongoing business operations. This role will work with members of the Prime Video Tax team to ensure that the businesses are well advised on the tax impact of their activities, and that the relevant tax technical analysis on the US and local country tax impacts of such activities are properly documented in order to support our reporting, compliance, and ongoing tax controversy analysis.

A successful candidate must be able to work closely with members across a global tax department as well as external advisors, coordinate tax subject matter inputs, and ensure execution of cross-functional tax solutions. Candidate must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, complex tax concepts in ways that are understandable and useful to non-tax professionals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- J.D., or CPA
- Significant experience in U.S. federal and international taxation concepts, with an understanding of or practical experience with tax laws in other countries
- Strong technical writing and tax research skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex tax laws in a business setting
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead complex, milestone driven projects, including the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented individual who takes ownership of projects, is organized, possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and is able to deliver on tight deadlines
