Prime Video has grown its global sports portfolio by leaps and bounds and strives to provide innovative, best-in-class content and represent the voice of the sports fan. Tier 1 sports properties include Thursday Night Football, UEFA Champions League, and beginning in 2025, NASCAR and NBA.

We are seeking a Business Analyst, Production Finance to partner with the Prime Video teams responsible for Live Sports.

This position contributes to the management of the production finance functions over the life-cycle of live event productions from launch through post production. The candidate must operate in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to influence the decisions of business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize. The role requires a self-starter, who is able to work effectively autonomously and drive projects with the team and cross-functionally with other teams including Production, Finance, and Accounting.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Manage budgets, track costs, ensure compliance with financial regulations and forecast financial risks and opportunities for assigned Live Sports Event productions, Technical Operations, and Sports Originals.
  2. Coordination of Production Payroll including personnel onboarding, payroll processing, and 3rd Party Payroll Service account management.
  3. Prepare consolidated Live Sports Production Cost Reporting package for various teams including Production, Technical Operations, Finance, and Accounting for monthly reporting requirements and forecast cycles.
  4. Serve as the main point of contact on all Spending and Transaction related matters including Purchase Orders, Vendor Onboarding, payment inquiries and will facilitate resolution of issues.
  5. Develop scalable and efficient financial process and systems to support the business.
  6. Improve and automate financial reporting mechanisms.
  7. Ad hoc analyses and projects as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  • 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  • 2+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
  • MBA, or CPA.
  • Knowledge of Tableau.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
  • Production Industry Experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
