Base pay range

$35.00/hr - $41.00/hr

Responsibilities

Kforce has a large enterprise client that is seeking a Technical Writer II in Englewood, CO. Summary: The candidate will work with engineers to generate content to communicate all aspects of a project to facilitate cross-organizational transfer of information. This includes the development of presentation material and documentation in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. Some basic business case aptitude is desirable. Duties:

  • Technical Writer II will be responsible to help manage Confluence Chalk Pages for a technical engineering team with the potential of fully managing Chalk Pages
  • Own the development and organization of Team's document repository
  • Review existing Confluence document repository structure
  • Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are addressed
  • Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions
  • Review content with individual teams to understand their specific goals
  • Work with leadership to understand their documentation needs
  • Develop an easy to use, intuitive documentation repository structure that meets individual team's technical needs and leadership's ease of access needs
  • Effectively communicate documentation solutions
  • Refine, organize, and develop architecture and continuous integration (CI) and release documentation
  • As a Technical Writer II, you will determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension
  • Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team
  • Knows, understands and follows company policy
  • Performs other duties as requested by manager

Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Confluence
  • Fluency with common office software, Lucid Charts and PlantUML are a plus
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail skills
  • Organized self-starter and leader that is fearless at reaching across multiple teams to develop solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to write user-friendly, engaging copy about highly technical subjects
  • Ability to understand and accurately translate technical information for a general audience
  • Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
  • Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
