Global Marketing Director, Oncology Inline Growth Portfolio

What you will do

The Global Marketing Director, Oncology Inline Growth Portfolio (XGEVA, Kyprolis, Nplate, Vectibix, Neulasta, IMLYGIC) is a critical role in the Global Marketing Organization and has a significant impact in providing commercial leadership, critical thinking and a “One team voice.” Success in this role will result in substantial professional growth and opportunity for advancement at Amgen. The Global marketing director will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of a portfolio of mature oncology brands. This individual will drive lifecycle management, commercial execution, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize brand value and patient impact. The individual in this role is a strategic thinker with deep oncology market knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and uses their ability to lead and influence across multiple functions. This person will also serve as the commercial lead on the Product Teams and Integrated Brand Teams to incorporate market findings, insights and share best practices. It is a critical role meant to help connect the dots across the various cross-functional teams.

This role will report to the Executive Director Global Marketing, Inline Commercial Excellence and presents a breadth of challenging and exciting responsibilities.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience

OR

Master’s degree and 7 years of marketing experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

A strong commercial leader with excellent marketing capabilities, superior cross-functional collaboration skills, and highly effective influencing skills

Prior experience developing global marketing strategies for pipeline products, successfully launching therapeutic products and excelling at local market-facing discussions

Prior experience in a tactical, “in-line” marketing role, implementing marketing strategies in local markets

An ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, problem solve, gain alignment and drive decision-making is essential

Has worked in diverse commercial roles supporting different products in various stages of the lifecycle, with a diverse set of customers in challenging and competitive markets

Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, managing projects involving multiple functions and shared accountabilities

Strong experience in oncology therapeutic areas. Keen understanding of the science, market trends, and future opportunities and hurdles

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
