We are looking for a passionate, user-centric Product Designer to help us achieve our goals.


Role Overview:

Sniffies is seeking a motivated Product Designer based in the greater Seattle region with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. As a Product Designer at Sniffies, you will be integral to crafting the visual and interactive elements of our platforms. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to create intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling designs across our mobile,web, and user management platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

Design Execution: Translate user needs and product requirements into innovative

design concepts, complete with user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.

User-Centered Design: Conduct user research and usability tests to guide your design decisions and ensure our solutions meet Cruiser satisfaction.

Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to

oversee the user experience of a feature from conception until launch.

Visual and Interaction Design: Develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups,

style guides, user flows, and prototypes to deliver intuitive and functional user interfaces.

Feedback Incorporation: Actively participate in design review sessions and iterate

designs based on stakeholder critiques, user feedback and business requirements

Innovation and Advocacy: Advocate for the importance of design within the

organization and keep abreast of industry trends that can enhance our products and

design practices.


Qualifications:

Experience: 2+ years of experience in product design, preferably in a consumer tech

and/or startup environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

Knowledge: A strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, and usability

best practices.

Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Human Computer Interaction

(HCI), or related field is preferred.

Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to make thoughtful

decisions based on user data and research.

Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects

simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work

environment.

Queer Community Insight: Strong knowledge of and passion for the LGBTQ+ Cruising

community, with a deep understanding of its unique challenges and needs.


Preferred Qualifications:

User Research Expertise: Strong background in user research methodologies and best practices, with proven experience in establishing and leading user research initiatives within an organization.

Advanced Design Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in creating engaging animations

and microinteractions, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to enhance user

interfaces through motion design. Experience with tools like Adobe After Effects,

  • Principle, or Framer is highly desirable.
