Job Description

As a Marketing Manager, you will report to and work hand in hand with the Director of Product Marketing to manage customer acquisition and retention efforts through various third-party vendors and channels. You will be tasked with developing sales strategies and selling our products and services. This contractor role provides backup for the current Marketing Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Manager manages all projects and KPI's that involve customer acquisition and retention, including:

  • Develop and execute daily pricing strategies (activities & resources) that are aimed at customer acquisition and building sales through various channels utilizing historical data, current COGs and business goals.
  • Coordinate internally with the digital sales team for paid media sales channel price and count initiatives.
  • Identify and refine target customer segmentation in the ERCOT market.
  • Analyze current market conditions to give recommendations to deliver business sales targets in terms of overall gross margin, revenue, energy volumes and cash flow.
  • Create new business through organized prospecting and networking to increase market penetration.
  • Develop and execute programs and processes to boost customer retention, customer experience, and value through customer touchpoints and strategic channels.
  • Evaluate sales channel metrics and devise strategies to increase audience and conversion rates.
  • Update monthly financial metrics and provide detailed reports to the Director of Product Marketing.
  • Perform other tasks and management of contract staff as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in direct/outside sales and marketing consultative selling
  • Prior experience working with REP industry and critical third party vendors required
  • Experience with leveraging various sales channels and tactics to acquire and retain customers
  • Proven track record of planning and delivering multi-channel marketing strategies and innovative campaigns
  • Outstanding communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and direct reports
  • Superior proficiency in Excel and proficient in Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skillset
  • Ability to meet deadlines, learn quickly and demonstrate effective problem solving and follow-up skills when managing a team


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The job is remote. Specific working arrangements are agreed with the manager.
  • Occasional travel may be required and would be on an as needed basis. Current travel is estimated less than 20% of total time.
