Summary
The Multimedia and Digital Engagement Manager is a creative and strategic professional responsible for developing, managing, and executing social media-friendly multimedia and visual content. The manager fosters meaningful audience engagement across social media platforms and virtual convenings. This role plays a critical part in amplifying the organization's mission, building its brand, and connecting with key audiences through dynamic digital content and engagement.
Working closely with and reporting to the Director of Digital Engagement, the Manager helps maintain the organization's presence on digital platforms and supports the planning and execution of digital convenings to maximize engagement with key stakeholders. The Manager highlights key research findings, policy insights, and engagement opportunities through innovative digital content and outreach. The Manager remains current with industry trends and best practices.
Please note finalists for this role will be required to submit a work sample demonstrating their competence in creating engaging social media friendly digital content.
Essential Job Functions
Content Creation and Multimedia Development:
• Design, produce, edit, and oversee development of engaging social-media friendly multimedia content (e.g., photos, videos, infographics) tailored for various digital platforms and virtual events.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align content with organizational goals, campaigns, and messaging strategies.
• Ensure visual and multimedia content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a high standard of quality and accessibility.
Virtual Convenings and Event Support:
• Support the planning and execution of virtual convenings by creating visually compelling assets, promotional materials, and post-event content.
• Maintain the central events calendar and execute digital promotions strategy particularly on social media.
• Ensure seamless integration of multimedia elements during virtual events, including videos, slide presentations, and live streaming as appropriate.
• Collaborate with event leads to create engagement that engage virtual audiences.
Digital Platform Management:
• Support maintenance of the organization's presence on digital platforms, including content planning, scheduling, publishing, and monitoring.
• Execute strategies to grow audience engagement, drive traffic, and amplify key campaigns and initiatives.
• Monitor digital trends, audience insights, and analytics to refine strategies and identify opportunities for engagement.
Collaboration and Innovation:
• Work closely with colleagues and external partners to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
• Stay updated on emerging digital media trends, tools, and best practices to innovate and enhance audience engagement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education:
• Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or public relations or a related field and 3- years of progressively responsible communications experience in digital engagement strategies with a strong emphasis on social media content creation and digital audience engagement; or
•High school diploma and 5+ years of progressively responsible communications experience in digital engagement strategies with a strong emphasis on social media content creation and digital audience engagement.
Qualifications:
•Demonstrated success in developing, producing, and editing digital and multimedia content for social media.
•Demonstrated success in digital audience engagement including through virtual convenings and/or on digital platforms.
•Exceptional project management skills.
•Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Creative thinker with a data-driven mindset.
•A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
•Team player with a proven history of working collaboratively
•Successful multi-tasker who can manage immediate, short-term, and long-term projects simultaneously.
•Demonstrates exceptional judgment, attention to detail, thoroughness, and follow through.
Work Environment:
The work environment is a typical office environment. The noise level is usually quiet. Up to 10% travel may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
