Job Description:
Pay Range: $104.40hr - $109.40hr
Responsibilities:
Engineering and Integration:
- Develop and manage API-based integrations between media asset tools, production systems, and cloud services.
- Integrate and optimize iPaaS and middleware solutions for data movement across production systems.
- Implement Python-based automation scripts to streamline asset ingestion, metadata tagging, and workflow processes.
- Ensure seamless data flow between source production media systems, DAM/MAM platforms, and downstream applications.
Infrastructure and AWS Configuration:
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of cloud-based and on-premise environments, including AWS services (S3, Lambda, EC2, IAM, Cloud Watch).
- Support deployment and monitoring of SaaS applications, testing tools, and media asset management services.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Lead technical validation and testing of asset workflows, including API performance, metadata transformations, and automation efficiency.
- Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate test tracking, monitoring, and reporting tools.
- Troubleshoot and optimize middleware, indexing, and AI tagging tools used for media workflows.
Collaboration and Workflow Optimization:
- Work closely with vendors, product teams, and engineers to configure and install middleware, asset management, and ingest applications.
- Interface with studio production technology team to integrate workflows with VFX and post-production pipeline automation tools.
- Provide technical documentation and status updates on integrations, workflow optimizations, and API implementations.
Qualifications:
- Strong Python development experience, with a focus on API integrations (REST, Graph QL, Web hooks).
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud configuration and maintenance, including IAM roles, storage (S3), Lambda, EC2, and networking.
- Ability to troubleshoot API connections, authentication flows (OAuth, SAML), and data pipelines.
- Understanding of media workflows, film/TV production, and asset management processes (no need for deep DAM experience).
- Samiliarity with database structures, metadata models, and file-based workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex integration environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Shot Grid, Flow, or FileMaker for tracking assets and production metadata.
- Exposure to iPaaS or no-code automation platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tagging tools (e.g., AWS Rekognition, Google Vision, OpenAI, 12 labs) for metadata enrichment.
- Experience working with large-scale media files (EXR, DPX, IMF, MXF) and storage systems.
- Understanding of DevOps practices for deploying media applications in AWS or hybrid environments.
Must Have Skills / Requirements:
- 3+ years of developer experience.
- 3+ years of digital asset management experience.
- 3+ years of experience in API development and management.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication both verbal and verbal.
- Experience presenting in front of senior leaders.
- Comfortable working on a large team with regular recurring meetings.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
