Job Description Summary
The Associate Director of Marketing for MMS-US Region will be responsible for US Region marketing for the Pyxis ES System portfolio. This role will focus on establishing and coordinating the go-to-market (GTM) plans, leveraging BD Way of Marketing, Launch Excellence and GPDS Principles. The leader will report directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing, Health Systems Dispensing Automation. This role will partner closely with cross-functional and regional partners to identify opportunities to more rapidly grow our portfolio and develop commercial excellence strategies and marketing materials to support our objectives.

Responsibilities
- Lead downstream marketing efforts in the US region, ensuring supporting tools and activities are in place.
- Support upstream strategic marketing related to Pyxis ES System portfolio (current and future).
- Oversight of external supplier relationships including forecasting and distribution strategy.
- Work with cross-functional collaborators in the U.S. Regional team to develop U.S. customer targeting approach and contracting strategy.
- Lead development and implementation of appropriate marketing, sales and training materials, conducting market research where required.
- Monitor competitor activity and current industry activity through published sales and pricing data and other publicly available sources.
- Complete market research, supported by consultants, and develop actionable recommendations to be incorporated in the launch plan.
- Build the launch/marketing plans that include (but are not limited to):
- Develop marketing plans/programs for each product category by segment, audience, opportunity size (revenue) for the US region.
- Identify market segments and value offer/positioning.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to build customer target list.
- Collaborate with Marketing/Strategic Pricing on defining a pricing strategy.
- Implement market shaping activities as appropriate.
- Develop evidence generation plan targeted at influencing the buying decision.
- Develop and support delivery of sales training plan.
- Develop support tools/processes to increase sales productivity and effectiveness.
- Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Field Sales to supervise business performance and achieving annual sales goals.
- Analyze data on a consistent basis to track key end-user demand, wholesaler and distributor sales; assess other market forces, e.g. competition and product capacity; identify/leverages data to enhance sales transactions, contracts and deal management within GPOs, IDNs and hospitals; identify adjacent and new markets to grow the business.
- Collaborate with product management, marketing communications, and sales to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer.
- Develop sales and marketing tools, messaging, etc., and lead product training for Sales teams.
- Develop customer success material to highlight standard processes, including testimonials, case studies, videos, and webinars.
- Develop post-market surveillance strategy, plan, and execution that ensures referenceable customer sites.
- Support commercial teams through tradeshows, demos, and customer presentations.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, nursing, or pharmacy with at least 7 years of marketing experience in the medical device industry.
- Previous experience in capital, software, and medical device related services experience highly desirable.
- MBA is desired but not required.
- Experience in planning, executing, and measuring marketing programs.
- Experience in supporting and training salesforce for new product launches and ongoing sales messaging.
