Your Role
As a Gensler Architectural Designer
, you
will
harness your
creativity and thoughtfulness
to
create engaging
human experiences in
our
built environment. You have professional skills in expressing design intent through modeling and presentation which
enable
your partnership with senior designers. In this role, you will e
nhance
your existing strengths while growing toward a leadership role in guiding our clients to design solutions.
Based in a studio of our Oakland office, you will join a team serving clients in
cluding
life sciences
and purpose-built workplace environments.
You will bring your design skills to projects in housing and critical facilities practice areas.
Through our close partnership with clients, we can
leverage
design to achieve livable cities, reduce global warming potential, and an engaging work experience for occupants of our projects.
What You Will Do Engage directly with senior design leadership in the development of concepts and implementation
Perform design assignments that include programming client needs, diagramming and modeling conceptual strategies, and implementing design intent through document development
Develop narratives and strategies for presenting design proposals, to articulate opportunities for consideration by project stakeholders
Support communication between project team, clients, consultants, and city officials
Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts, transitioning from conceptual evolution to technical execution
Your Qualifications Professional degree in Architecture,
demonstrated
with a rigorous portfolio including both academic and professional experience
5 -10
years of relevant architectural experience, with a strong background in conceptual design and visualization
Fluency in Rhino and professional
proficiency
in Revit
Strong communication
skills in verbal presentation, written narrative, graphic
representation
and
storytelling
Analytical and problem-solving skills applicable to reconciling design with engineering requirements
Ability to develop collaborative relationships with colleagues, with clients, and with other key constituents
This role is for a licensed architect
;
however alternative positions are available without a license.

$90,000 - $126,000
plus bonuses and
