Architectural Designer

you are responsible for creating designs and drawings to facilitate the construction of new homes. You also provide technical information and knowledge that supports profitable business decisions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Performing daily operations, ensuring projects are completed according to expected timelines. Completing design-related tasks and documentation using CAD, Revit, AutoDesk, BuildPro, and other technologies. Understanding and ensuring architectural and structural requirements, elements, building codes and bylaws are followed. Completing documentation packages, producing drawings sets, and maintaining standard model plan library. Working with Marketing for renderings and collateral material. Overseeing billing with Architects and Consultants, and staying in budget. Working with Purchasing and Estimating teams for 3D visual presentations. Developing concepts and creating conceptual construction plans for new products. Reviewing Design guidelines, municipality requirements and all other documents to ensure plans meet community and city criteria. Implementing quality measures, best practices, process improvements, audits and measurements. Essential Requirements Associate’s degree in computer Aided Design (CAD), Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology or related program of study. Minimum 1 year of related drafting and design experience in the Residential Construction industry. Working knowledge of CAD, Revit, AutoDesk, and BuildPro or similar programs. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable insured vehicle. Satisfactory verification of criminal record check. Comfortable using office equipment and computers Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint) and computer aided design software (Mitek, CAD, SoftPlan, etc.).
