Leo Villareal Studio
Leo Villareal Studio is seeking experienced freelance technical artists for a fully-designed and in-production motion design project. Artists would work under the direction of the artist and of our Director of Visualization. This is a freelance contract position to be paid at an hourly, daily or weekly rate. We are open to candidates with part-time or full-time availability between March and August 2025 who are able to work in-person at our studio in Brooklyn at least part of the time.

This project encompasses: Motion Design: Good eye for composition, color, and lighting Compositing motion graphics and visual effects Basic editorial ability 3D asset and environment creation (layout, modeling, texturing, animation, simulation, lighting, rendering): Art-directed sky and atmospheric environments Art-directed mountain and landscape environments This project does NOT include: Logos or typography Characters or creatures Audio of any kind Demonstrated high proficiency in: 3D: Unreal Engine or Blender preferred Compositing: After Effects preferred Realtime workflow proficiency (game engines, Touchdesigner) would be very helpful to have, but not absolutely required. We are a small studio team and each of us wears many hats. We’re looking for versatile, creative and collaborative problem-solvers who can take initiative and ownership within the scope of our direction.
