MidPointe Library System
Description
As part of the community engagement department based out of the West Chester Library, you'll prepare layouts, designs, artwork and formats for use in publications and/or exhibits; create promotional pieces, print & digital advertising, marketing collateral and support materials; as well as create custom illustrations and graphics. You'll also update the library's website, calendar, social media sites and blog; oversee physical and digital marketing displays; write press releases and promotional pieces; and assist with library programs and events.
Requirements
To be successful you:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant job experience. A bachelor's degree in marketing/communications is highly preferred. Certification in graphic design is highly desired.
-Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record; have reliable transportation to travel to other library branches, programs and events; and continuous insurability on the library's insurance.
- Excellent graphic design skills, particularly with Adobe Creative Suite, is needed.
- Must be able to produce visually appealing and eye-catching products.
- Experience with social media platforms and other new media and digital tools, as well as have the ability to learn new platforms is needed.
- Must have excellent computer skills & be proficient with various software including Microsoft Office Suite, web page, desktop publishing, graphics programs, the Internet, Canva, and file sharing.
- Must be able to effectively collaborate, problem solve, be organized, efficient, flexible, detail-oriented, focused, creative, innovative, future oriented, dependable, manage change & frequent interruptions, and have excellent time management, organizational & communication skills.
- Must have the ability to plan, prioritize, manage, and coordinate detailed projects while meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to move carts, crates & library equipment that could weigh up to 100 pounds.
- Must have regular & predictable physical attendance & punctuality.
