Summary of PositionRockler is seeking a Customer Marketing Analyst to join our team. The Customer Marketing Analyst leverages data-driven analysis and insights to help Rockler grow and leverage its customer base. You will identify and recommend opportunities to improve advertising programs, customer targeting, and promotional offers through data analysis and structured A/B testing. Metrics you will help develop and drive include new customer growth, conversion of new customers to repeat, retention of repeat customers and customer lifetime value.
Major Areas of Accountability· Help Build and Optimize Rockler's Customer Data Platform
o Become an expert in using the Rockler Customer Data Platform to analyze customer data, build dashboards and reports, and optimize customer segmentation.
o Create customer analyses based on type of customer (new, repeat, retained), products or categories purchased, demographics and provide recommendations.
o Assist in building, evaluating, and leveraging marketing attribution to identify trends and opportunities for changes in customer segmentation.
o Collaborate with IT to get the data needed for marketing analyses.
o Audit data and reports to ensure accuracy.
· Optimize marketing campaign performance.
· Analyze and present coupon/promotion results and recommend improvements for future promotions.
· Structure, evaluate and communicate A/B test results from digital, direct mail and other channels.
· Update and maintain spreadsheets compiling digital, direct mail & retail campaign results.
· Monitor, investigate and communicate key performance indicators and trends, including:
o New & repeat and retained customer count trends for DM and Retail. Track lifecycle segments (Lead, 1X, Repeat, Lapsed, Reactivated).
o Shipping revenue and costs by month, along with free shipping usage
o Geo-location analysis for existing or future retail store locations
o Ad-hoc analysis regarding store performance, product performance including power tool analysis and traffic
· Digital marketing
o Create audiences from the database or via email platform for use with paid search, social media or email ads for testing and audience targeting.
o Assist with survey development as needed, including pulling audiences and survey language
- Manages promotion setup and source codes for our Order Entry/ERP system.
o Assists in testing of new promotions.
o Maintains current and accurate promotional disclaimer language.
o Responds to promo issues and problems as they come up and helps determine solutions.
· Other Duties as assigned
- Attendance is an essential function of this position, and we rely on all our employees to be at work during their scheduled shift.
Requirements for Position
· B.A. or B.S. degree (marketing major preferred)
· 2-4 years of Marketing work experience with a retail or ecommerce business
· Ability to interpret data, formulate insights and make critical recommendations.
· Advanced Excel skills
· Experience using SQL, Tableau, Power BI or similar reporting tools.
· Outstanding communication & collaboration skills
This position is considered hybrid as it requires you to work in the office approximately 3 days a week with the other two days a week being remote.
