GE Aerospace
Job Description Summary
Colibrium Additive, a GE Aerospace company, is seeking an experienced Product/UX Designer with exceptional UX Research skills to join the Software organization. The software we create forms an ecosystem within and around our metal additive manufacturing (aka 3D printing) machines, which utilize various methods of processing metal powders to realize innovative new part designs and help change the world for the better. The design work involves a variety of interesting challenges, including (but not limited to): multiple usage modalities (desktop and touchscreen / industrial HMI); complex geometry visualization; advanced material physics; safety-critical industrial settings; and multi-national regulations. The incumbent experience design team is passionate about continuous improvement and helping customers be successful with innovative technology, and has recently initiated an ambitious, multi-year objective to integrate user experience throughout the product development lifecycle. Like all GE Aerospace companies, our work prioritizes safety, quality, delivery, and cost (always in that order). The perfect candidate should be an ardent student of problem-solving methodologies with the demonstrated ability to navigate complex, ambiguous problems at both strategic and tactical levels.
