Job Overview

You'll lead the ASCENDtials editorial staff in the team's mission to enhance critical consciousness by offering intelligent, all-encompassing educational tools, materials, and training courses that are preventative, prepare, inculcate, and reinforce a greater sense of self and community, a Oneness that increases capacity, and environmental care.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead publication processes and share insights on editorial matters.
  2. Conduct weekly team meetings and track attendance and hours of team members.
  3. Attend strategy meetings and participate in evaluation of volunteers and interns.
  4. Assemble and publish content, adjusting or updating as necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to manage a variety of responsibilities with both short-term and long-term deadlines. Strong writing skills and a love of learning are essential.

ASCENDtials is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on empowering BIPOC communities throughout Southern California. Established in 2014, ASCENDtials seeks to impact communities through programs that encourage participants to act as signifiers of change in education and work settings.

Description

ASCENDtials assists those in the BIPOC community in dismantling institutionalized Isms within the U.S. workforce by offering workshops that empower them. Our non-profit organization focuses on building cosmic consciousness through our experiential learning programs, healing sessions, and workshops, and environmental programs so that they can successfully advocate for humanity and the environment.
