Children's Publicity Manager, Simon & Schuster Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing seeks an experienced, creative, and enthusiastic publicity manager to execute publicity campaigns for high-profile children’s and young adult releases.

The ideal candidate will have experience strategizing on and executing PR campaigns, an established network of national broadcast, print and online media contacts, and excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Candidates should possess strong internal and external communication skills, be adept in time management, and the ability to work both independently as well as in a collaborative setting. Responsibilities Include
Planning and execution of publicity campaigns across board books, license/brand programs, picture books, graphic novels, middle grade and young adult titles. Developing, researching, and maintaining strong relationships with national, online, and local media contacts. Writing press materials and pitching/securing significant media coverage. Planning and executing author appearances including multi-city book tours, virtual appearances, local appearances, school visits, and special events. Excellent author care and attentive communication with authors and agents. Attending and presenting at regular sales meetings. Travel selectively with authors for book tours and festivals/conferences. Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in children's publicity/publishing Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills Experience creating and executing highly successful title-based media campaigns Demonstrated booking and author tour management skills Established network of broadcast, print and digital contacts Must have good time management skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking Ability to work independently as well as in group settings, and demonstrate good follow-up and follow-through Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and work flexibly and quickly Simon & Schuster US is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) including disability/vet.
